Notes for 12&U meet this weekend
A Few notes about the 12&U heats and finals meet this weekend.
First, a couple of parents didn't realize this meet had minimum time standards when committing swimmers to attend, those who were not fast enough yet were not entered unless they are part of a relay.
Here is a list (including relay only swimmers) of those who are entered
The meet is short course at Granite Hills HS.
Swimmers in individual events should arrive Saturday at: 7:20 and Sunday at 8:00 am (unless coach DawnElla specifically gives you a different time to arrive).
Relay only swimmers should arrive by 10 am each day, and report to coach DawnElla as soon as you arrive.
Relays are swum at the end of the prelim session each day and there are not swum in the finals session.
Finals will begin at 1:30 each day. Swimmers who qualify for finals are expected to compete in finals....If you are an alternate after the final posting of a.m. results (either 11th or 12th place) you are expected to be present for the chance to swim in finals (please double check with Coach DawnElla prior to leaving the meet after prelims to make sure you and she are on the "same page" as to if and when your next swim is.
Important!!!! Times listed on the heat sheets are estimated start times only, and are not to be relied on as actual start times - they are for general planning only. The meet will run one heat after another and you could swim earlier or later than the estimated time on the heat sheet. (this also applies to any timeline on the meet mobile ap).
Remember to bring your CAST apparrel and have a great meet.
