Dave's notes 11-30
OFFICIALS: We desperately still need officials. We have a couple in training, but really need more. If you are "in-training" please complete any training and required usa swimming actions. If you're interested in training, the team will reimburse you for any expenses you may have as an official, as well as a small stipend each time you work.
Why do we need officials? As an example, we do not have the required number of officials for this weekends meet (2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday) - so besides the fact that the meet could be in jeopardy of not running, we will be fined for not providing officials.
To start training to be an official, you can show up at the pre-meet officials meeting at 8:30 at the meet this weekend.

The meet is at Coronado High School
We have 45 swimmers in the meet on Saturday and 30 swimmers on Sunday. The meet should last until about 1:30 on Sat (earlier if you're not in the distance races at the end), and 1:00 on Sunday.
Any swimmers in a 500 or 1000 free will need to check in for your races! all other events are pre-seeded

USA swimming Registrations:
All swimmers need to be registered with USA swimming.
Newer swimmers: This fall, as new swimmers have joined, and also as some of you who had originally been registered as a flex member needed to be upgraded to a full membership, we have taken care of getting you registered. All who CAST has registered with USA swimming are good through December 2022 (although if you were registered with a $20 flex membership, we will be upgrading it to a full membership before you can be in your third meet).
Those of you who had 2021 registrations will be automatically renewed to a 2022 registration unless you notify us prior to 12/10 that you will not be continuing in 2022.
Everyone will be getting billed for those registrations and/or upgrades in mid December.
