CAST meet this weekend
The final meet of the summer is upon us. The meet is Sunday at GHHS. It is a decent sized meet with 370+ swimmers. CAST has 58 swimmers in the meet. Because of the overall number of swimmers and the size of our group, and being meet hosts, we are warming up prior to the other teams.
Swimmers in the meet should arrive at 6:50 am for check in and warmup. Since we are the hosts, there's a lot of work to be done. Please check the job sign-up on our home page for jobs you can do.....We still nead some "early birds" to help with early snack bar stuff (especially getting the grilling started).
Special note for parents of Senior and Senior Dev swimmers: I scheduled Saturday a.m. practice at GHHS so we can prep the pool for the meet. We need parents with trucks or SUV's to pick up snack bar equip from the Santoro house (where we store all of our snack bar stuff) on Saturday morning and bring it to Granite Hills pool. The plan is to have you drop your swimmer off at practice at GHHS then meet at Santoro's at 8:00 am to get stuff and bring back to Granite Hills.
We will be swimming relays at the meet. We'll figure them out that morning and let you know who's doing what.
The meet is estimated to be over shortly after 1:00pm, after which we are on a 2 week team break.
Entire team - 2 week break from Aug 14-27.
See the practice calendar online. For those who signed up for summer only a couple of months ago you will be receiving information on Friday letting you know what you need to do if your swimmer would like to continue swimming with CAST after the break.
