Freestyle Festival: On Sunday we kicked off the season with the first competition. It was a great chance to see where all of the swimmers are in their journey, and a chance for many swimmers to be in their first meet. Results of the Freestyle Festival: Here
MRA BC meet Oct 7-8. Today is the day - last chance to sign up for the MRA BC meet on October 7-8. The meet will be at Granite Hills HS. It will be the first chance to swim non freestyle events. If you want your swimmer to be entered, please commit by midnight tonight. Eligibility list
Swim-O-Rama: This Thursday, at practice, is our annual Swim-O-Rama fundraiser. Swimmers will have 1 hour to swim as many lengths as they can. We will need parents to help count for the swimmers (siblings can help too). Even though new swimmers (who joined after July 31) do not have to raise any money, they will still do the swim.
Families with 1 swimmer are required to raise a minimum of $200 and 2 or more swimmers $350.
SR and SD 4:15 - 5:45, AG and Novice 5:30 - 7:00 The actual swim time is 1 hr, but explaining the swim, and getting kids organized, and parents ready to count takes a little extra time. PLEASE take note that we would like both Novice and Age Group to arrive at 5:30 on Thursday.

Team Beach party / potluck / awards - Sunday October 1st

USA swimming registrations
For swimmers who are new to the team, you need to have your athletes registered within 30 days of joining the team. For all continuing swimmers: If you were registered with USA swimming as a seasonal swimmer for the summer only, your registration has expired, and you must renew immediately. All swimmers who have a year-round registration - although it expires on December 31st, you can now renew your registration for 2024.
The CAST Hosted meet on October 28-29 has been changed from a BC meet to an NTS (No time Std) meet. This means all swimmers, all ages, all ability levels are eligible to swim. Please plan on having your swimmers enter this meet as well as plan on helping us run the meet. The admin people are working on adjusting the format, and I will have job listings available next week.
The January through March schedule has been approved. We don't yet have the meet hosts, but here are the weekends to plan for and set aside.
Jan 6-7 14&U all-star meet (top 8 male and female swimmers from 10-U, 11-12 and 13-14 age groups)
Jan 20-21 all ages NTS meet
Feb 9-11 all ages NTS meet (some events normally on Sunday will be swum on Fri or Sat in order to shorten the meet on Super-Bowl Sunday)
Feb 16-19 SR-Classic (top AG and SR swimmers)
Feb 29-Mar 3 CA-NV Sectionals
Mar 9-10 SI 14&U Age Group Championships
Mar 16-17 all ages NTS meet
