Practices and swim meet news
Practices during the rainy week:
FIrst, I do want to say that any night with lightning or late afternoon widespread flooding, stay home, stay warm and safe.
Tonight: It looks like today's worst weather has passed. If Accuweather and Ventusky (my first go-to apps) are to be believed, we are looking at no rain to light rain during tonights evening hours. Obviously predictions don't always come true, but the afternoon and evening look to be favorable.
Tomorrow and Thursday: Looks like we still have rain coming over the next couple days, and as long as it is light, as currently predicted, and no thunderstorms, we will have practice.
Senior and Senior Dev - will skip dryland tonight, and
- Hopefully by Friday afternoon, all will be dry for the meet through the weekend.
Swim meet information
First a note about parking: Mater Dei HS wants all swimming attendees to park in the back parking lot of the school. That lot is at the corner of Magdalena Avenue and Santa Venetia Street. The address for GPS purposes is closest to 1569 Magdalena Avenue, Chula Vista. If that lot fills, please park on the side streets. There are several other events happening the campus this weekend, and the school wants the front lots reserved for their own sponsored events. This applies to all 3 days.
Warmup times: Friday 4:00 pm (double check this with Coach DawnElla), Saturday and Sunday - ready to stratch at 8:00 am.
Estimated timeline We have the AM session only on Saturday (ignore the saturday afternoon session)
