Reminder From Coach DawnElla to All CAST members

Good morning!

Every so often we send out some safety / courtesy reminders . . . this is one of those times. Please review these reminders and discuss them with your swimmers. Thank you in advance.

• Swimmers should not be dropped off excessively early to the practice site.  We recognize that life and work demands are, well, demanding. However, coaches and the team are not responsible to watch them during this non-practice time. There are occasions when swimmers are wandering through and outside the facility; they are not being supervised by us at that time.  

• Along those same lines, Kroc facilities and equipment is for Kroc members. Unless swimmers are members of the Kroc, they are not permitted to use Kroc facilities outside of scheduled practice time. This has become an issue recently and was brought to our attention by the Kroc staff. If you are a member and use the Kroc during off practice hours, please use your membership card for admission. This precludes pre or post practice swims in any of the Kroc pools (unless you are a member).

• Last thing. after practice and for their own safety, we ask that swimmers remain inside the gated area until their ride arrives.

• On another note - CAST is on Facebook and on Instagram. The Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/4829903260 and is under CAST (College Area Swim Team). The Instagram account is at: @collegeareaswim. The Facebook site is closed and permission must be granted to access it. The Instagram page is open. If you do NOT want your swimmer on the Instagram page, please notify Erin Svalstad at erinsvalstad@gmail.com. If you would like your swimmer highlighted on the Instagram page, you may send her a photo as well as any highlights.
