Mission Viejo BB min meet - entries were sent in last night. I did receive a notice that due to time limitations the meet could be capped. They will let us know if our team will be admitted after they have processed all of the entries. (probably some time on Thursday). Swimmers from their area get first priority.

High school championship meets - We are at the final weeks of the high school season. This week we have conference championships and next week are the CIF championships, followed by the state championship meet the second week of May. If you're a fan of fast local swimming, keep your eyes and ears open for news. The CIF championship meets will be held on May 4th at Granite Hills HS 9:00 am for D1 and 3 pm for D2.

10&U mini meet - May 11th - This is a great opportunity for all 10&U's on the team. The meet is 1 day, and should be only a few hours. If your swimmer is 10&U, we encourage you to sign up. Deadline to sign up is Apr 30th. The next opportunity to compete is either June 8th weekend (for B and C swimmers) or the June 21st weekend (for BB and up swimmers), so don't miss this one.

11&O NTS meet - May 18-19 - For all levels of swimmers who are 11 and older. sign up deadline: May 7th

Safe Sport note-.  Some sports have reputations for having kids or parents or coaches that don't all get along. Fortunately we don't often have issues within swimming, and CAST has always had a reputation for  a "family-type" environment. Nonetheless, things happen. Kids sometimes say or do things without realizing the hurt they may cause others.  CAST does not tolerate bullying.

Please take time to review the safe sport page on our website and review the policies that are there and share them with your swimmers. Often kids can settle their differences by themselves. Sometimes parents may need to get involved. If things do not get resolved by this point, please reach out to the staff or board for assistance.  People are not perfect, when mistakes are made, please recognize, addresss and correct them as quickly as possible. I am more than willing to get involved when necessary, so please do not hesitate to reach out.

May Calendar - should be up some time this weekend. You can anticipate very little change to our normal schedule.
