Summer is upon us, and from past experience, the next two months seem to fly by in a blink. I will keep everyone posted as much as I can. Please make frequent visits to the News tab on the cast site to make sure you're up to date on what is going on.

June Calendar - There may be a few modifications with some of the practices near swim meets as we figure out coaching availability and pool space for those dates.

Special Just-for-fun meet. Please read if your swimmer is in Novice or AG

On Friday June 7th, we  have a special Just-For-Fun meet  for ALL Novice and AG swimmers with less than 11-12 BB times. (this includes 13 & Olders who have times slower than the 11-12BB standard). See time stds at the bottom of this message.

We really want all available novice and AG swimmers to attend. 5:30-7:00pm ish.

It is not an official meet - it is for fun - there will be ribbons, cheering, team building, and fun - and no stress. Tenatively the meet will be at Monte Vista High School. More information will be published this Sunday June 2nd. Please sign up with a yes or no on the meet commitment section of the team website.

New Kroc Policy - (begins June 10th)

Beginning June 10 all participants must stop at Guest Services (lobby desk) to identify themselves and check-in. This should only take a quick moment and include a simple statement of “Hi, I’m with _____, my name is _____”

Other notes regarding the Kroc center:

- CAST rents pool time from the Kroc center for it's practices. CAST members are not allowed to use the facilities for anything other than their designated practices. In order to use other facilities or the pool at times that are not CAST practices, you must purchase a day pass or  a monthly plan with the Kroc center.

- Swimmers are expected to be at practice on time, and not more than 15 minutes prior to practices except for something like a planned goal meeting on deck with a coach.

- Swimmers are not to let their friends into the pool area by opening the gates for them.

- The pool deck is not a playground. Swimmers who are early or witing for siblings to finish, need to remain in a CAST area and follow all Kroc center rules.

- Parents need to pick up swimmers as they finish their practices. For increased safety, swimmers should remain inside the pool gate until their parents are in the parking lot before exiting.

- Summer time can get very busy. With increased pool usage it is important that swimmers keep their belongings grouped in the team areas to the southwest areas of the pool. Do not store belongings in unlocked lockers in the locker room, or leave belongings unattended in non-CAST areas.

- The Kroc center recommends that swimmers using the bathrooms use the single use bathrooms, or if using the larger locker rooms, are in groups of 3 or more.

- Please be respectful of all Kroc rules and the other people using the facilities. WE ARE GUESTS, and should always act that way.

June 8-9 - Splash and Dash Max meet - JCC La Jolla (registration passed)

June 21-24 - Splash and Dash meet - Loma Verde Pool Chula Vista (registration ends June 11)

June 28 - Summer League meet #1 - location TBA (registration ends June 27)
