News Notes and Nuggets

1) Copy and paste error. There is an error in the published schedule for tomorrow. Novice has a regular practice 6:00- 6:45 pm Kroc.

2) Change for summer league / fun meet. The League of multiple teams (CAST + 3 other teams) never really materialized for this summer. So we are going to bump Saturday's summer league meet to this Thursday night during practice time. This will be for all  AG and Novice and summer swimmers. We will go from 5:45 - 7:00 pm - so it's a very slight adjustment from your normal practice time.

We will have ribbons, we do need parents to chip in and help time the kids and write times on the ribbons. No entry fees, no pre-entry, just show up and race your teammates, have fun, and walk away with some ribbons and a smile.

3. Last chance to sign up for the summer wrap-up meet. Deadline to sign up is 10 PM Wed July 31 CAST is hosting the summer wrap up meet on AUG 10-11 at GHHS. This will be the final meet of the summer. With the next regular meet opportunity coming in late September.

4. Practice time adjustment for this Saturday: SR- SD 7:45 - 9:30 am at Helix;  AG 8:15 - 9:30 am Helix.

5. Two week break. CAST will take it's annual break from Aug 12-25. Normal practices will resume on Aug. 26th.

6. Long Couirse Championships. Last weekend were the SI LC Age Group Championships. CAST finished in 6th place out of 22 teams. Also congratulations to Kasey Gray for winning the high point award for 13-14 girls ( with Emma Mohr and Tilly Santoro finishing 2nd and 4th in the 13-14 girls high point race).

7. Age Group zones championships: 3 CAST swimmers will be represinting San Diego Imperial Swimming at the upcoming Western Zone Age Group (14&U) championship meet in Boise Idaho. Those Swimmers are Kasey Gray, Emma Mohr and Tilly Santoro.
