Team Banquet 10-27: Originally I had posted that the banquet later this month would be a pot-luck. Then DawnElla reminded me that lots of different people cooking and lots of different people handling all of the food and serving utensils etc. was less than ideal with Covid still around. So with pot-luck out, I am looking to other ideas. We want to recognize swimmers and their achievements, and that is our priority. Having food is secondary. Whether it's individually boxed dinners, individual pizzas, individually packaged desserts or bring your own...
One thing I forgot to remind people of in yesterday's notes.... CAP ORDER DEADLINE: If you want to order caps with your name on it the deadline is tomorrow!!!!! You won't be able to order caps with your name on it again for at least 4 months! The cost for 2 silicone caps with your name is $33. (for what the team is charged, per cap, we have to charge you $17/cap without names! So you're actually saving money AND getting caps with your name on it.....Crazy, I know). Silicone...

Today I was given info on the 12&U portion of the Freestyle Festival this Saturday. The meet is split into 2 to couver the county. We were given the afternoon session for Saturday. (By the way I do not have specifics yet on Sunday's 13&O meet except that CAST will be in the morning session for Sunday. Hopefully I will be given full info to send out some time tomorrow.) The Swim-O-Rama swim is taking place this Saturday at Helix HS pool. We Do need some parents (or relatives) to come in and help count lengths swum. We have counting sheets that makes it easy..... just bring your own folding chair (there are a few portable benches that will be available). Swimmers have 90 minutes to swim as many lengths of the pool as possible (max 200 lengths = 5000 yards). The Kroc power is up. Although they are having some issues getting all systems on-line, the pool pumps have started and they will be opening the pool for us and water polo only (no guests). So the bottom line is: regular practices today are a "go". For those of you who use other facilities at the Kroc, they may or may not be available. Thanks Coach Dave
